Dr. Eleonora Lávaque graduated from the National University of Tucumán in the year 2000. She began her specialization in Ophthalmology at the Santa Lucía Ophthalmologic Hospital in 2001. From that year onward, she also started her training in the Retina Department at the same institution, where she currently serves as a permanent staff member. She obtained her official specialization in Ophthalmology from the University of Salvador in 2005.
Her focus on vitreoretinal surgery led her to pursue several clinical rotations. Nationally, she trained with Dr. Arturo Irarrázabal during 2006 and 2007. Internationally, she undertook observerships with Dr. Stanley Chang in New York and Dr. Virgyll Alfaro in Charleston in 2008. Subsequently, she completed a Retina Fellowship with the European Vitreoretinal Society in Bremen, Germany.
Currently, she regularly attends national and international events as both a participant and invited speaker. Her main areas of interest include vitreoretinal pathology, vitreoretinal surgery, uveitis surgery, and research in these fields.

TEACHING
Dr. Lávaque serves as a postgraduate instructor in the Ophthalmology program at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), teaching modules on Retina and Uveitis. She also participates in various postgraduate training courses for ophthalmologists.
