Dr. Kapran graduated from Istanbul University School of Medicine.
His clinical ophthalmology training was at the Gazi Medical School, Ankara.
He worked as teaching faculty member and Deputy Chief of Istanbul Education and Research Hospital between 1991 – 2001.
He became Chief of the second eye clinic of Beyoglu Eye Hospital – Istanbul between 2001 – 2011.
Dr. Kapran designed different instruments for vitreoretinal surgery.
His main fields of interest are vitreoretinal surgery, small gauge vitrectomy, and ocular trauma.
